IN JUST A FEW WEEKS, THIS COULD BE YOU...

...all in less time than you spend scrolling TikTok each day (and with massively more impact on your future life, career, and brain!).

Cathleen’s calm and practical approach made me less worried and more confident through the application process. Her positive attitude was exactly what I needed.
Cathleen really cares about the success of each student! She works really hard to make this process a lot easier for us, and also provides super organized methods to stay on top of a sea of work.
I have grasped a new way of writing we aren't taught in school, and learned keys to how to handle college applications. I would've been completely lost if it wasn't for this class!
The positive class environment made it beyond easy to work with people I just met, and the multitude of brainstorming activities really boosted my confidence and made me realize I had so many topics to write about!
I learned that college essays are VERY different from the essays I write for school. My English teacher touched upon us writing our college essays and expected us to just write one and without telling us how to make it amazing like we did in class.
Cathleen is fun and patient. Even though college applications are stressful she helped us and made it fun!

These aren’t like the
English Essays you submitted
to Mr. Smith

Your academics and test scores will get you into the “Maybe” pile, but you’ll need more to actually get accepted.

You want to get into amazing colleges but you’re not sure if you can write all these essays, or how to start, or what to say…

Good news: you’ll know exactly what to write about and how to do it, even if you have no idea what you want to study and you’ve never experienced a challenge and you’re freaking out).

This program will help you come up with dozens of College Essay Ideas fast and then write those Essays with ease and confidence.

Harvard alumni, researcher, writer, certified executive coach, and visionary behind The Edvisory, Cathleen has helped thousands of students unlock their unique path to success and gain admissions to top-tier colleges, leading with visionary resonance, intuitive clarity, and a gift for transformation.

With a background in English Literature and Creative Writing from USC, and advanced studies across Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, Business School, Law School, Divinity School, and Kennedy School, she has cultivated an interdisciplinary approach to consulting, coaching, and education that merges scholarship, soul, and strategy.

From researching ethics and character in higher education at Harvard to getting certified as an executive coach, Cathleen draws from a rare interdisciplinary foundation—spanning literature, practical theology, psychology, leadership development and business. Her signature approach doesn’t just get students accepted; it gets them seen.

Her work began with a simple insight—no one was asking students the deeper questions. The system was pushing them through applications without ever pausing to consider who they really were.

She created The Edvisory to be what the current system isn’t: personal, imaginative, and transformational. Her team now works with students all over the world—creatives, visionaries, and trailblazers—crafting custom paths to college and graduate school that are as original as they are successful.

Jessica Gerhardt is a graduate from Reed College in Portland, OR where she received her B.A. in Psychology. When she was a high school student, Jessica was accepted into the OneVoice Scholars Program, which paired her with a one-on-one college prep counselor. Her experience navigating college applications, essay writing, and applying for scholarships and financial aid equipped her well to pay it forward with other students pursuing a college education. During her time at Reed she also interned in their Admission Office which gave her an inside look at what admission counselors look for in prospective students, and she became a skilled interviewer. YOUR ALTERNATIVE:
HIRE A PRIVATE COUNSELOR OR DIY

There are generally two ways to approach the college application and essay process.

THE COLLEGE
ESSAY EXPERIENCE  OPTION

OPTION 1

OPTION 2

Option #1

White glove, customized, results-driven counselors with a writing background (rare) can charge anywhere from $150-1,500 USD per hour for help with your college apps and essays. Believe me, I know all about this option because I am a private counselor...

(Yes-this is a great option if you can find a great counselor and afford it). But, for many, this is simply too costly.

You can hire a private counselor.

Option #2

You might think that this is the most cost-effective option, but is it true?

Many students who apply on their own either
a) don't get into their dream colleges or
b) get into colleges they cannot afford to attend because they didn't have strong enough applications.

As someone who went through this process without the help of a private counselor and ended up in the wrong major at the wrong college with a lot of student loans, I can tell you:

You can Do It Yourself.

  • It helps to get help
  • Getting professional help can save you (and your parents) hundreds of thousands of dollars, literally
  • Sifting through dozens of books, websites, blogs, and forums will be exhausting and you will find a lot of outdated or just plain wrong advice
  • Balancing writing up to 43 essays, extracurricular activities, test prep, and your responsibilities at home is a lot and something is going to take a back seat

I LOVE private college counselors (I am one!), but imagine being able to write up to 45 essays knowing that your topics are great, that you’re not using the words you should never use, and that you can edit and revise your own work.

There’s an expensive way and a hard way to do this. And then, there’s another option because I create it just for you.

Great advice and help with college essays should be available to everyone even if you can’t afford a private counselor for a whole year.

The students I’ve helped apply to amazing colleges and discover their unique voices and find their true callings in life are the ones who’ve learned to harness their voice and write incredible college essays, even if they didn’t consider themselves writers, even if they hate writing, and even if they haven’t experienced major challenges.

Don't get me wrong...
