Program Terms & Conditions
Last Updated on Dec 13, 2022
This Agreement is made among The Edvisory (“Advisor”),(“Responsible Party”), and (“Student”).
The Advisor, the Responsible Party and the Student agree as follows:
1. What We Do - Using one-on-one sessions, the Advisor helps students optimally position themselves for college or graduate school. Our process emphasizes personal growth, self-discovery, understanding the Student’s key strengths and positioning the Student to optimally market the Student for these purposes in order to become a more competitive applicant.
2. Programs We Offer - The Advisor will provide to the Student, and the Responsible Party agrees to pay for, College Application Essay Coaching services at the fees listed below and on the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.
3. Sessions - The services will be provided via online video conference.
Responsible Party and Student agree to give the Advisor 48 hours notice of cancellation (barring a true emergency).
4. Fees – The Package consulting fee is payable regardless of whether the Student is accepted at the college, graduate or professional school (each being referred to in this Agreement as a “school”) of his or her choice.
College Application Essay Coaching Package -
Fee of $12,000 (one time payment) or 3 installments of $4,500 (each paid 30 days apart).
5. Services - The Advisor will guide the Student’s process of self-discovery based on interview, testing, prior academic record, and any other input provided by the Student. The Advisor will brainstorm with the Student on topics for essays and short form answers, and will help develop the story line of the essays. After the Student prepares drafts of the essays, the Advisor will help edit grammar, spelling and elements of style. It is essential that the Student draft and redraft the essays himself so that the essays represent the Student’s own “voice.” The Advisor will assist the Student with the preparation of an activities list based upon the Student’s initial draft.
The Advisor will not be responsible for the actual filling out of application forms, but will assist the Student by answering questions about applications or advising the Student about how to find answers.

The Student will prepare for each session and will complete assignments given by the Advisor promptly and thoroughly. The Student will take responsibility for researching schools and programs as directed by the Advisor. The Student will bring copies of necessary materials to the sessions as requested by the Advisor. If the Student needs to reschedule a session, they must do so at least 48 hours prior. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be subtracted from the overall session balance.
The Responsible Party agrees to attend a session with the Student if so requested by the Advisor.
7. Certain Limitations - The services provided by the Advisor are strictly advisory. If requested, the Advisor will make suggestions regarding schools and may refer the Student to resources about a particular school, if known to the Advisor. 10. We Cannot Guarantee Acceptance - The Responsible Party and the Student understand that the application process is complex and uncertain, and that the decision to accept or reject an applicant is in the control of the school and not within the control of the Advisor. The Advisor does not guarantee acceptance into any school.
11. Miscellaneous - This Agreement shall not be transferred or assigned by either party. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
Sessions happen with the student only. Parents are invited at the start of the process to have input through the parent questionnaire (or through the student and via email once the process has begun), but we prefer that parents not be involved in essay sessions.
We communicate directly with students on questions regarding the application process, scheduling, and progress. If we a student is not on track or hasn't replied to two emails, we will reach out to the Responsible Party.
